US The Senate Armed Services Committee wants USN to keep developing DDG(X) – c14,000 tonne replacement for Arleigh Burke-class destroyers in tandem with the Trump-class battleships. The battleships will inevitably be cancelled, and a more realistic contingency plan is needed.
