Brazilian Frigate Liberal. Liberal is a Niterói-class frigate of the Brazilian Navy. She was the fourth ship of her class ordered by the Brazilian Navy, on 20 September 1970. Liberal was launched on 7 February 1977, and was commissioned on 18 November 1978.

Yesterday, the wreck of the Royal Navy cruiser HMS Hawke, was found, lost after being torpedoed by the German submarine U-9 on 15 October 1914, off the coast of Aberdeen. This is a nationally important find – 524 sailors died and only 74 survived.

RFA Fort Victoria is now back in dry dock at Cammell Laird. NOTE: Fort Victoria is unlikely to go on CSG25, mainly due to a lack of crew. Ahead of the long-term layup, she has maintenance done as part of the pre-existing contract.
