Quantum technology trialled on Royal Navy uncrewed submarine XV Excalibur, the Royal Navy’s first Extra Large Uncrewed Underwater Vehicle (XLUUV). Testbed uncrewed submarine XV Excalibur went to sea with Infleqtion UK’s quantum optical atomic clock on board – the first time such a device has been operated at sea in an underwater vessel.

RFA Proteus (K60), a specialist survey and surveillance ship in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA). The vessel is dedicated to monitoring the underwater environment in areas of UK sovereign interest. It acts as a launchpad for remotely-operated vehicles (ROVs) and other specialist autonomous systems used to safeguard critical seabed infrastructure like telecommunications cables and oil/gas pipelines.

Type 23 frigate HMS Richmond (F239) conducting a replenishment at sea (RAS) with the Japanese aircraft carrier JS Kaga. The two ships conducted joint exercises as part of a large-scale multinational exercise involving the UK Carrier Strike Group in August 2025.
