RFA Mounts Bay has replaced RFA Cardigan Bay in the Mediterranean as part of routine ship and crew rotation. It will continue to support humanitarian requirements in the region.

Yesterday, the wreck of the Royal Navy cruiser HMS Hawke, was found, lost after being torpedoed by the German submarine U-9 on 15 October 1914, off the coast of Aberdeen. This is a nationally important find – 524 sailors died and only 74 survived.

RFA Fort Victoria is now back in dry dock at Cammell Laird. NOTE: Fort Victoria is unlikely to go on CSG25, mainly due to a lack of crew. Ahead of the long-term layup, she has maintenance done as part of the pre-existing contract.
