On this day in 1968, Battleship New Jersey was recommissioned for service in Vietnam after being modernized at the Philadelphia Naval Yard. She was the only battleship called to serve in Vietnam, and was selected in part because she was in the best material condition compared to the other three Iowa-class.

Tanker RFA Tidespring is ready to join CSG25 with HMSPWLS which departs later this month, providing the carrier strike group with fuel and other essential supplies. She will be joined later in the mission by RFA Argus.
