HMAS Sydney on the successful first-of-class Naval Strike Missile firing during RIMPAC. This milestone in the Navy’s acceleration of enhanced lethality capabilities exemplifies what can be achieved when working ‘at speed’ with our international and industry partners. The RN has purchased the missile but has not yet tested it.

On this day 10 years ago in 2014, Aircraft Carrier HMS Illustrious entered HMNB Portsmouth for the last time, ending 32 years of service and marking the end of the Invincible Class’s service to the Nation.
