From Russia with love… Indian warship INS Tushil – built by the Yantar shipyard in Kaliningrad (engines supplied by Ukraine), arrived in London and berthed alongside HMS Belfast (1938) today – the first stop on her delivery voyage.

At around 0300 local time last night USS Gettysburg mistakenly shot down an F/A-18 Super Hornet jet flying from USS Harry S Truman while carrier group was conducting air strikes against Houthi military targets in Yemen. Both aircrew ejected and were recovered safely.

USS Carney. By the end of what became a 10-hour standoff, Carney had shot down 15 drones and four land-attack cruise missiles fired by Houthi rebels in Yemen, marking the most intense combat engagement by a U.S. Navy warship since WWII.

The Brazilian Navy has entered discussions to acquire HMS Bulwark, an Albion-class landing platform dock (LPD) from the British Royal Navy, according to Brazilian defence news website Podero Naval. At this stage, however, the Ministry of Defence has not confirmed the accuracy of these claims.
