PT torpedo boats under construction at the Higgins Industries shipyard in New Orleans in June 1943. Built of wood and with powerful gasoline engines, they showed their capability in the Pacific despite their fragility.

HMSPWLS is now operating 12 F-35Bs, participating in NATO Exercise Ramstein Flag 2026 (June 8 to 19) conducted across more than 20 locations from Norway to Spain. Jets from the carrier conducted a hot-pit refuelling at Pirkkala Air Base, Finland, yesterday.
