Damage to the funnel of the Royal Navy frigate HMS Plymouth after it was hit by an unexploded bomb during the Falklands War in 1982. Five bombs were dropped on the ship, but none of them exploded.
HMS Daring will return to sea next year. Her ship’s company is being built up. Now over 3,000 days since she last went to sea under her own power. Laid up in 2017 due to a lack of manpower. Refit began in 2020. Towed to Cammell-Laird for PIP (Power Improvement Project) 2021-2022 Major refit and regeneration in Portsmouth 2022-26.

French frigate Amiral Ronarc’h, the first of a new class of frigates for the French Navy. The ship is the first of five “Defence and Intervention Frigates” (FDI) ordered by the French defence procurement agency.
