INS Godavari (F20) was the lead ship of her class of guided-missile frigates of the Indian Navy. She was commissioned on 10 December 1983 and decommissioned on 23 December 2015 after a 32-year career.

On this day in 2023, the Type 23 Frigate HMS Montrose decommissioned at HMNB Portsmouth after 29 years of service. Despite being an HMNB Devonport-based ship she spent her last 4 years of operational service forward deployed in the Gulf under UKMCC MiddleEast.
