The Royal Malaysian Navy’s (RMN) 45-year-old fast attack craft, KD Pendekar, has fully sunk at a position two nautical miles southeast of Tanjung Penyusop, Johor, at 3:54 PM today, according to an official statement from the RMN this evening, after collision with an underwater object.

The future USS Richard M. McCool Jr. (LPD-29) sailed away from the builder (HII) on Aug 22, 2024. This is the first ship completed with the SPY-6(V)2 radar. The ship will be commissioned into the Navy on Sept, 7.
