Following the completion of construction and successful Factory Acceptance Testing at Manor Marine in Portland, first-of-class Oceanus17 has now been delivered to ZeroUSV’s headquarters at Turnchapel Wharf, Plymouth. The 17m USV has an operational endurance in excess of 50 days, a range of more than 5,000nm, a capacity of up to 4 tonnes and a payload bay for a TEU container.

The ipaper claims MoD has set aside £217M to cover potential costs associated with the Devonshire Dock Hall fire at BAES Maritime, Barrow in October 2024. A large proportion relates to smoke damage sustained to HMS Achilles. Guided-missile cruiser USS Springfield (CLG-7), shown here in a dry dock in Toulon, France, during March 1965. Originally built as a WWII-era Cleveland-class light cruiser, she was modernised into a Providence-class guided-missile cruiser between 1957 and 1960. The vessel was decommissioned in 1974 and ultimately sold for scrap in 1980.
