Daring-class destroyers, HMS Daring was laid down on 29 September 1945, launched on 10 August 1949, and completed on 8 March 1952. She served five commissions, was placed in reserve in December 1968, and was sold for scrap in 1971. HMS Diana was laid down as HMS Druid, but was renamed in 1946 after the previously planned Diana was cancelled. She was launched in 1952, sold in 1969 to the Peruvian Navy, and renamed [Palacios].
