The Video Ray Defender ROV, already in service with the Royal Navy (RN), has been adapted by the UK Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) to deal with underwater sabotage threats and clear legacy unexploded ordnance.

HMSPWLS alongside in Duqm Oman CSG25, along with RFA Tidespring and HMS Richmond. A permanent Joint Logistics Support Base (UKJLSB) available to the RN was established at Duqm in 2019, operated by Oman Drydock Company and Babcock on a 37-year lease.

The last two RN Falkland survivors, HMS Bristol and RFA Argus, meet for a final time. HMS Bristol leaves for scrap, passing a Royal Navy fleet carrier, almost 60 years after the cancellation of CVA01 rendered her an orphan ship.
