Fijian patrol vessel RFNS Puamau ran aground on her maiden voyage this week. The Guardian-class vessel donated by the government of Australia to Fiji hit a reef off the Lau islands. Australians are sending teams to attempt salvage. A few No.9’s to be allocated no doubt.

On this day in 1953, HM Queen Elizabeth II reviewed the Royal Navy at Spithead to celebrate her Coronation. 16 nations attended, making a fleet of 156 ships 7 Aircraft Carriers and 300 Fleet Air Arm aircraft from 38 squadrons.
