On April 18, 1944, after a fierce battle to capture Roi Island in the Kwajalein Atoll, the crewmen of this unnamed carrier shed their stress in a warm Pacific lagoon of the Marshall Islands.

Russian submarine veterans have launched at campaign to preserve Project 941 (Typhoon) submarine Dmitry Donskoy as a museum. The retired submarine is currently in layup awaiting disposal.

US Defence Intelligence agency assess that less than 40% of Russian missiles fired during the war in Ukraine have hit their intended targets. 20-30% fail to launch or crash in flight and many miss aiming points.

It has been clear for some time the RN does not have enough sailors to provide a crew for HMS Bulwark when her refit is completed. Ministerial statement that she will only be “ready to deliver defence outputs if required” is the first time this has been officially admitted.
