Boeing Defence, US Navy’s first XLUUV, also known as Orca, is back in the water for risk-reduction testing off the coast of Southern California. Will continue to work with the Navy to trial this long-range, fully autonomous undersea vehicle — the first of its kind for the Navy.

On this day in 2018, the Royal Navy’s only LPH, HMS Ocean was decommissioned in the presence of the Queen at HMNB Devonport. She was sold shortly after to Marmilbr where she serves today as the NAM Atlantico.

Escorting UK support ships sailing through BAM (choke point Bab Al Mandeb) towards the Indian Ocean RFA Argus/Lyme Bay. Confirms on 9th Jan, 18 drones launched in swarm attack against coalition warships. 6 taken out by Sea Viper missiles and 1 shot down by 30mm cannon remotely controlled from ops room.
