Los Angeles class Attack Submarine USS Hampton (SSN 767) surfaced at the North Pole. Hampton and a Royal Navy submarine took part in Ice Exercise 04 (ICEX 04), a joint operational exercise beneath the polar ice cap.

HMS Diamond sailed from Portsmouth on 17th November 2023. Apart from a 3-week break in Gibraltar, she is approaching 6 months away from home spent predominately in a high readiness state in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

On this day in 1765 the Royal Navy’s world-famous warship, HMS Victory was floated out of her dock and launched at Dockyard Chatham. She is the oldest warship in the world that is still in commission and was the flagship of Admirals: Howe, Jervis, Keppel & of course Nelson at Trafalgar.

The United States Navy submarine tender USS L.Y. Spear (AS-36) at Norfolk Naval Base in 1996. Several nuclear attack submarines are moored with her including four Los Angeles class and three Sturgeon class.
