Ukrainian Navy has sunk the Russian train ferry MV Conro Trader in the port of Kavkaz. The vessel was used to transport fuel and weapons to Crimea. Likely hit with Neptune anti-ship missile.

Number 14 Dock at HM Naval Base Portsmouth received HMS Daring this week, the first warship to dock there following its restoration and upgrade. The Type 45 destroyer was manoeuvered into position and will dock down a week later.

In 1943, HMS Umbra claimed to have scored a unique victory by torpedoing a plane. When Umbra hit an enemy ship in the Mediterranean with a torpedo, a column of fire shot 1,000 feet in the air in front of three low-flying escort planes. Only two planes emerged.
