On this day in 2010 the Survey Ship HMS Roebuck entered HMNB Devonport for the final time to pay off after 24 years of service. She was sold to the Bangladesh Navy, where she still serves today as BNS Anushandha

USCGC Resolute Offloads Drugs in Tampa Bay Coast Guard Cutter Resolute (WMEC 620) and crew returned from a 60-day counterdrug patrol and offloaded approximately $55 million worth of illicit narcotics, Monday, in St. Petersburg.

The Sun newspaper has published some more details of the messdeck fire on board HMS QNLZ around 2300 last Friday. The incident was declared over at 0430 on Saturday. Started in the air conditioning unit causing some heat, smoke and water damage to accommodation areas. The article was ruined by silly phrases like “horror fire” and “cursed carrier”. NOTE: The incident will not impact the ship’s programme. She still is alongside at Glen Mallan but is due in Rosyth for maintenance shortly.
