The guided-missile destroyers HMS Kent (D12) L, and HMS Bristol (D23) R during the 1975 Portsmouth Navy Days. HMS Bristol was the only ship of the Type 82 class of destroyers to be built. She was launched in 1969 and commissioned in 1972. The ship was designed primarily for area air-defence, featuring the Sea Dart missile system visible in the image.

Italian aircraft carrier Giuseppe Garibaldi (C 551). It was the first through-deck aviation ship built for the Italian Navy. The ship has a full load displacement of approximately 13,850 tons. It was equipped to operate up to 18 aircraft, including AV-8B Harrier II fighter/bombers and various helicopters. The Italian Navy officially decommissioned the Giuseppe Garibaldi in October 2024, after nearly 40 years of service, and has reportedly sold it to Indonesia. One of the Royal Navy Invincible-class aircraft carriers, likely either HMS Invincible (R05) or HMS Illustrious (R06) seen in the photo.
