USS Fanshaw Bay (CVE-70), a Casablanca-class escort. It was commissioned in December 1943 during World War II. The ship was built for rapid production and deployment. It served in the Mariana and Palau Islands campaign, the Battle off Samar, and the Battle of Okinawa.
