Italian heavy cruiser Trento early in her career, photographed at Venice, Italy. The Trento-class cruisers were the first heavy cruisers built for the Italian Regia Marina (Royal Navy) after World War I, designed to meet the constraints of the Washington Naval Treaty. The ship was commissioned on April 3, 1929. In the foreground a MAM Ro.43 seaplane on the catapult of a Zara-class heavy cruiser!
